Jamie Foxx has shared a fresh update following his health concerns in April, revealing he is feeling better than ever in the months since he was hospitalized.
The 55-year-old movie star thanked fans on Instagram on Wednesday (August 16), sharing photos of him enjoying his time outdoors on a merry-go-round. “You are looking at a grateful man… finally starting to feel like myself…,” he wrote in the caption. “It was an unexpectedly dark journey…but I saw the light…”
“Thank you to everyone who reached out and sent their blessings and prayers…” Fox continued. “There are so many people I want to thank…I don’t know how much that means…I personally thank all of you…and if you didn’t know…God is good…every day… “
This post is about 4 months old strays As his daughter revealed in April, the star was hospitalized with “complications” of unknown origin. The details of Fox’s illness were kept private by his family, but Fox opened up about his experience in an Instagram video in July.
“I went through things I thought I would never go through,” he told fans at the time. “I know a lot of people have been waiting and wanting to hear the latest, but to be honest, they didn’t want me to see them that way.”
Fox’s latest update comes on the heels of a controversy surrounding his post, which he later revealed was “betrayed by a fake friend.” His word choice in the since-deleted post was, “They killed a man named Jesus… what do you think they’d do to you?!” It caused outrage because some people thought they were spreading it.
“I would like to apologize to the Jewish community and to anyone who was offended by my post,” he responded with an additional apology. “I’m sorry to hear now that my choice of words offended you. It was never my intention. Let me be clear, I was betrayed by a fake friend. “They” didn’t mean much more. In my heart there is only love for everyone. I love and support the Jewish community. We sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended. ”
