Potential Cyberattack Across Singing River Health System


Biloxi, Mich. (WLOX) – Singing River Health System personnel detected unusual activity in their network indicating a possible cyberattack.

“We are working diligently with third-party experts to investigate the cause of this failure and confirm its impact on our systems as soon as possible. We are also working with the appropriate law enforcement agencies. SRHS Chief Marketing Officer, Shannon Wall.

The Singing River Health System continues to see patients and downtime procedures are in place.

“We are working hard to provide more definitive information about what systems will be available and when,” Wall said. “Our clinical team continues to work together to ensure patients receive the highest quality care they have come to expect from Singing River Health System. We have the right protocols to offer.”

According to SRHS officials, the IT security team is working around the clock to investigate the situation and take necessary security measures.

“We take the security of our company and our customers’ personal information seriously and are fully committed to doing everything in our power to address and neutralize potential threats,” Wall said.

Wall said an investigation is ongoing to determine the nature and scope of the incident and SRHS is not in a position to comment further at this time.
