SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Dignity Health is asking for the public’s help in identifying the 72-year-old man pictured above, saying he cannot be released until next of kin is identified.
Health officials said emergency services picked up the man from an industrial area on the outskirts of Santa Maria on August 31 and he has been hospitalized ever since.
“He was confused, minding his own business and was unable to provide corroborative information, including where he lived and who knew him,” Dignity Health said. “We need the public’s help in positively identifying individuals and locating family members or friends who can provide additional information about their health needs.”
Dignity Health says the man is from Iguala Guerrero, Mexico. “We are not concerned about the legal status of this individual or who came forward with the information,” officials said.
The organization has released the following information about the man in hopes of finding someone who can help identify him.
