Kalamazoo Health Department Fall Clinic Offering Vaccines and Treatments

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kalamazoo County Department of Health and Human Services is hosting a “spooky” event for area residents to encourage people to get the flu vaccine.

“The weather is changeable this time of year. The leaves are changing color and the air is getting a little crisper, but it’s not just the weather that’s changing,” says Christina, Operations Manager and Public Relations Officer for Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services.・Anthony said. “The public health situation is also evolving…seasonal diseases like the influenza virus are really gaining momentum.”


The health department reminded people that anyone over the age of six months can get a flu shot.offering those shots clinic October 24th from 3pm to 7pm 311 E. Olcott Street West side of Portage Street.

“This event is going to be terrifying. It combines the importance of public health and public health with the fall fun that we all look forward to this time of year,” Anthony said.

Goods will be handed out to children in the parking lot from 4pm to 6pm. In case of rain, we will move it indoors.

The Department of Health and Human Services asks that you: Please register in advance and please fill in online registration form before the event.
