Memorial Health Foundation Fund Run Grow raised more than $10,000 Friday to support health care efforts.

Approximately 160 participants took part to raise funds for: Bridges Forward Stroke & Brain Injury Support provides community-based exercise programs for people with stroke and neurological disorders. Diabetes Education provides low-cost or free educational assistance to people with diabetes. Bariatric exercise provides an opportunity for exercise to patients looking to improve their health and achieve weight loss goals.

“We are truly overwhelmed by the generosity and enthusiasm of our community.” said Jarrett Stull, executive director of Memorial Health Foundation.

Stull thanked the community for its support.

“Fund Run Grow plays an important role in supporting patients in need.” He said. “This year’s event not only raised much-needed funds, but also demonstrated the spirit of unity within our community.”

One of the highlights of the event was the Provider Power Dash, featuring healthcare providers from Memorial Health System. Physician Assistant Chad Schoen won the men’s category, and Amber Tibay won the women’s category in a close contest. Young student Noah Zacharias won the one-mile race with a time of 6 minutes, 51.58 seconds.

“Running at the Fund Run was so much fun! It was so much fun and it was great to see so many people like my friends coming together to support a great cause.” Zacharias said.

Male Runners Overall 5K and Time: 1, Connor Curtis, 00:23:55.08. 2, Max Brown, 00:25:38.11; 3, James Zeitler, 00:26:11.90.

Male Walker Overall 5K and Times: 1, Jason Mader, 00:26:19.52; 2, Brenice Phillips, 00:37:26.30; 3, Ron Edinger, 00:40:36.92.

Female runners overall 5K and time: 1st place, Deanna Schuller, 00:23:55.26. 2, Amanda Ruble, 00:24:24.86; 3, Sarah Coromandel, 00:26:51.13.

Women Walker Overall 5K and Times: 1, Katie Mader, 00:32:48.86; 2, Claire Petty, 00:42:30.88; 3, Ramona Moore, 00:42:31.79.

Overall mile and time for male runners: 1, Noah Zacharias, 00:06:51.68. 2, Benjamin Harris, 00:07:09.48; 3, Axel Snyder, 00:08:45.17.

Overall Male Walker Mile and Time: 1, Dave Fulton, 00:20:21.02

Overall mile and time for female runners: 1, Carriday Snider, 00:06:57.28; 3, Avery Shuler, 00:07:34.96; 3, Dorothy Harris, 00:08:08.26.

Overall Female Walker Mile and Time: 1, Lorna Briggs, 00:17:29.42; 2,

Beth Imperio, 00:17:31.58; 3, Brenda Fulton, 00:20:22.40.
